About Kate Hua

Hi! I’m Kate Hua, a freelance photographer and editor based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Previously, I worked as the 2025 Photography Associate at the Washington Nationals and have worked with various clients such as The San Francisco Standard, Clarkson Creative, Cal Athletics and the Capital One Orange Bowl.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2024. I was the 2023 Managing Photo Editor for The Michigan Daily, the university’s independent student-run newspaper. I also was a staff photographer at the Michiganensian Yearbook.

I am available for assignment, and am pursuing new opportunities in sports photography.
